Conference on “Promoting scientific and technological activities and international cooperation at Thai Nguyen University”
On the morning of September 30, at the branch of Thai Nguyen University in Lao Cai, Thai Nguyen University (TNU) held a conference “Promoting scientific and technological activities and international cooperation at Thai Nguyen University”.
Assoc.Prof.Dr. Hoang Van Hung, President of Thai Nguyen University, Director of the University of Natural Resources in Lao Cai chaired the conference.
Attending the Conference were representatives of the Board of Directors of TNU, representatives of leaders of functional departments; representatives of leaders of member higher education institutions under and under Thai Nguyen University, lecturers and officials in charge of science and technology work and international cooperation.
On the side of School of Foreign Languages - Thai Nguyen University, there were Dr. Dang Thi Thanh Huong – Vice Rector, Dr. Phung Thi Tuyet Head of Department of Science and Technology Education Department, MA. Le Van Thuy Deputy Head of Department of Science and Technology Management, MSc. In the overall goal of the development strategy of the National University to 2025 and a vision to 2045, it is emphasized that “Make a fundamental change in the quality of training, the quality of scientific research and the transfer of technology to meet the needs of society. and international integration to realize the vision to 2035, among the top 500 universities in Asia and the center of innovation and sustainable development in the community.
Currently, TU has 3,776 officials and employees, including 2,454 teaching staff, with 814 lecturers having doctorate degrees; in which more than 135 doctorates are professors and associate professors. With such a team, in the past years, VNU has achieved remarkable achievements in research and training, which are highly appreciated by organizations:
TNUT ranks 10th among universities with the best international publication in Vietnam, 4th among universities under the Ministry of Education and Training, 3rd out of 35 in internal resources index. Most recently in July 2022, the World University Rankings by Academic Achievement (URAP) published a list of university rankings by Academic Achievement in 2022. In which, Vietnam There are 17 universities in the top and Thai Nguyen University is also among the 17 TOP universities in Vietnam.
