SFL students “Learning – Practical Experience at Enterprise”
According to the cooperation program between the two units, in the morning of November 23, 2022, School of Foreign Languages – Thai Nguyen University (SFL-TNU) organized a trip to take 89 students to practice at Foxconn Company – Bac Ninh. Implementing the 2022-2023 school year plan, SFL-TNU organizes trips for students to participate in Learning – Practical experience at enterprises. “Learning – Practical Experience” is one of the contents aimed at enhancing skills for students during the training process at SFL-TNU, helping students meet and interact with a team of business managers to exchange and share career orientations, career skills, job opportunities after graduation; perfect in personality, industrial style, labor discipline, approach and familiarize with actual work. Thereby creating a premise for students to orient, strive and train to become new officers to meet the human resource requirements for the industrialization and modernization of the country.
The Department of Scientific Management and Foreign Affairs is the unit assigned to connect with companies, enterprises, and partners, in collaboration with the Department of Academic Training and Learner Management, Faculty of English, Faculty of Chinese to organize “Learning – Practical Experience” activities for the academic year 2022 – 2023.
On November 23 and November 30, 2022, SFL-TNU organized 02 experience groups for 187 students (students) majoring in English and Chinese languages to visit, study and experience at companies belongs to Hong Hai Science and Technology Group.
Group 01 consisted of 89 students (33 students of High Quality English Language Class K45 and 56 students of Chinese Language Class A K42).
Group 02 consisted of 87 students (46 students of English language class A K45; 41 students of Chinese language class B and D K42).
With the training motto “Study – Practice – Practice”, SFL-TNU organizes many engaging activities at enterprises. Here, students can directly observe, learn about professional jobs, grasp the knowledge requirements and skills required by businesses, thereby helping them determine the methods and plans to study better. Throughout their studies, all students of SFL-TNU will be able to participate in many practical learning activities, visits, and experiences at corporations, businesses and partners:
+ As soon as they entered the school, the K45 new students had the opportunity to directly approach businesses and corporations from which to have an overview of their future jobs, as well as their majors, helping students prepare psychologically, as well as have goals and a sense of learning.
+ 4th-year students (K42) who are directly exposed and understood (job positions, learn about recruitment policies, development policies, welfare, …) would apply the knowledge in the future in the working environment at enterprises.
The Learning – Practical Experience program was discussed, researched and developed SFL-TNU and the Group in accordance with the actual situation of businesses and learners’ needs, specifically:
During the learning process, the students have the opportunity to listen and share about the skills; job position and organizational model of departments at the company; career opportunities; work experience; The recruitment criteria businesses need in candidates, the sharing of the working process of the leaders of the business, the experts, the actual employees. In addition, students also visit working and entertainment areas to understand more about corporate culture; observe the layout, professional working space. From there, students understand the selection criteria for personnel of enterprises to partly self-assess their own abilities and actively improve their capacity. The study and experience trip not only helps students improve their knowledge and skills, but most importantly, SFL students shape a serious and professional attitude in study and work to meet their goals, requirements of the domestic and regional labor market.
Continue to organize tours, learning – practical experiences at enterprises is an effective bridge which businesses and schools meet and develop relationships to achieve the common goal of creating favorable conditions for students to gain practical knowledge and skills – an important foundation for future career development.
