Some major partners of SFL
1. Committee of Chinese language proficiency test
Chinese Ministry of Education established the Committee of Chinese language proficiency test named Hanban. This Committee is responsible for the entire process of testing Chinese language proficiency and providing Chinese language proficiency certificate. This unit allows School of Foreign Languages to become an organization holding HSK test and suppling exam questions. It is one of the most important partners of the School of Foreign Languages.
2. Wenshan University, China
Approved by the Yunnan Provincial Government and accredited by the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China in 1984, Wenshan University is a dynamic four-year liberal arts institution dedicated to excellence in higher education.
WU offers more than 47 three or four-year undergraduate degree programs to approximately 8,000 students through values-centered programs that lead to development of the whole person. More than 400 faculty, staff and administration are committed to an integrative liberal arts curriculum that focuses on the talents, interests and future of our Chinese students and international students.
WU is a strong partner of School of Foreign Languages signing a Friendship Cooperation Agreement with the School of Foreign Languages since its foundation (2008) and the two sides have obtained significant results since then. The cooperation between SFL-TNU and WU has gained remarkable results in the student and academic exchange. 158 students and 5 teachershave taken their language practice and teaching under the exchange programs so far.
3. Guilin University of Technology
Guilin University of Technology (GUT) founded in 1956 and located in Guilin. Since its founding, the University has gained a great deal of success in teaching and researching, making significant contributions to the development of the local economy. The University is very proud of its extensive research programmes, its international reputation and its excellent record of graduate employment.
There are approximately more than 19,000 students studying a wide range of courses at the University. At present, it offers 59 undergraduate programmes and 35 postgraduate programmes varied from Management, Economies, Art, Literature, Engineering, Science, Agriculture etc. as well as the Chinese Language Courses designed for international students.
Guilin University of Technology receives training over 300 students (both long and short term), including students from 21 countries majoring in languages, advanced practitioners and students of specialized universities, fellows Master anually.
4. Henan University, China
Henna University is a quite comprehensive developed university with numerous training programs, ranging from the general to the branches of natural science, engineering, economics, management, law, arts and cultural objects. Henan University has 10 member schools, 7 faculties with 59 sectors of higher education and graduate. Approximately 8,000 undergraduate students, 300 graduate students and more than 100 foreign students studying at the Henan University. There are about 3,400 staffs, including 200 professors, 500 associate professors and 35% of school teachers have Master’s degree and PhD as well.
5. Guangxi Teachers Education University – China
Guangxi Education University has become a center for training teachers in southern most of China with more than 1,200 lecturers, of which 315 teachers have long working experience, 388 teachers have master’s degree and Ph.D. Graduate.
6. Guizhou university – China
The university consists of 20 colleges and 3 public education departments. Presently, the total number of full-time students is 32,152, which inculdes 25,053 undergraduates, 4,360 graduates with 123 as PhD candidates, and 52 overseas students. Up to now, it has cultivated over 150,000 graduates in various fields including philosophy, economics, laws, education, liberal arts, history, science, engineering, agriculture, medicine and administration.
Guizhou University always places importance on developing international cooperation and exchanges. So far, the University has established cooperative and exchange relations with more than 40 academic institutions in such countries and regions as the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom., Australia, France, Japan, Korea, Singapore, the Philippines, Sweden, Thailand, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Macao and Vietnam, etc. To maintain and develop these relations, Guizhou University receives visitors from these institutions and other areas annually.
7. International volunteering organization ( Latttitude) – United Kingdom
LATTITUDE is a non-governmental and non-profit organization of UK, operating in Vietnam since 1966, has sent 900 volunteers to 60 schools in 9 provinces and cities across the country.Volunteers suppported actively and effectively in improving the ability to communicate in English for staffs and students in Vietnam.
8. American English Language Institute (ELI)
American English Language Institute (ELI) is a non-profit, non-governmental organization, educating and teaching English in Asia. Since 1994, the Institute has sent many qualified English teachers to teach English at universities, colleges, institutes and secondary as well as high schools in Vietnam. In the past five years, American English Language Institute delegated average 20 to 30 teachers anually for the formal curriculum. As for the Faculty of Foreign Languages, each year an average of 4 ELI teachers worked and taught here. The teachers are very enthusiastic and effective at improving students’ English skills.
9. Francophonie International Organization
The International Organisation of La Francophonie represents one of the biggest linguistic zones in the world. Its members share more than just a common language. They also share the humanist values promoted by the French language. The French language and its humanist values represent the two cornerstones on which the International Organisation of La Francophonie is based.
The International Organisation of La Francophonie was created in 1970. Its mission is to embody the active solidarity between its 80 member states and governments (57 members and 23 observers), which together represent over one-third of the United Nations’ member states and account for a population of over 890 million people, including 220 million French speakers.
10. Laguna State Polytechnic University, The Philippines
Laguna State Polytechnic University, The Philippines was founded in 1952. The University provides various types of education including advanced education, professional, technological and vocational instruction in agriculture, fisheries, forestry, science, engineering, industrial technologies, teacher education, medicine, law, arts and sciences, information technology and other fields.
11. Chodang University – Korea
Chodang University is the only university in Muan County, a largely rural district of South Korea’s South Jeolla province. The university educates a wide range of majors such as music, teacher education, nursing…It is also the university focuses on languages. The School of Foreign Languages and Chodang University have a long-term relationship in training Korean for students as well as organizing exams.
